EP Henry Blog Features Fusion Melt

Less is better.

Less means you spend less. You need less storage. You need a smaller house. Less means you don’t worry as much. You aren’t as bogged down by clutter. Less means you’re lighter. You’re freer. You can focus on more important things. Less is more sustainable and more beautiful. And when it comes to winterizing your EP Henry Pavers, less is better! All too often we think the more ice melt we throw down on pavers or sidewalks, the safer we’ll be. Not true. The key is using the most effective ice melt to get the job done, melting the ice and snow with less impact on your landscape and Hardscaping.

Sodium Chloride (rock salt), and Calcium chloride pellets are common ice melts used for residential and commercial sidewalks and pavers. Yet they both miss the mark for “Less is better”. Substantial amounts are required to melt the ice and snow. Blending sodium chloride and calcium chloride is a better choice. The calcium chloride will quickly heat up, and the sodium chloride will give the ice melt the staying power to last up to 24 hours.Fusion Melt is a superior blended formulation of sodium chloride, calcium chloride, potassium & CMA. It has been tested and approved on EP Henry Pavers.*

Fusion Melt Snow & Ice Melt: The CMA (Calcium Magnesium Acetate) neutralizes the chlorides and prevents corrosion •Environmentally friendly formula makes it safer on pavers, steps, sidewalks, ramps and loading docks. •Melts down to -20 F •Fast acting, generating heat quickly •Safer for children, pets and plants •Safer to handle •Melts for up to 24 hours •Caution orange color for safety (food based dye – no staining) •Goes three times farther than rock salt or calcium chloride, which means: Less is better!

As we all look to simplify our lives and live smarter, winterizing your pavers with ice melt should be a “no-brainer”.

Just use less.

Fusion Melt is distributed by GoPro Distribution 215-741-7007 *Fusion Melt has been tested (ASTM C1645/C1645M-11, “Standard Method for Freeze-thaw and De-icing Salt Durability of Solid Concrete Interlocking Paving Units”.) on EP Henry pavers. The results indicated Fusion Melt fell far below the 225 g/m2 threshold.
